Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 cups warm Milk
1 stick melted Butter
1/2 cup Sugar
1 packet Active Dry Yeast
5 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
For the filling:
3/4 cup Butter
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
1-2 tbsp Cinnamon
For the frosting:
8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
4 tbsp Butter, softened
3 tbsp Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 cups Powdered Sugar
Instructions:
In a large bowl whisk together the warm milk, butter, and sugar. Sprinkle on the yeast and let sit for 1 minute. Stir in 4 cups of the flour. Cover and rest for 1 hour.
Once rested, add 3/4 cup of flour, the baking powder, and salt. Stir to form the dough. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 10 mins. Roll into a large rectangle. Spread the softened butter across the entire dough. Sprinkle on the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 14 slices.
Place 7 slices in one buttered baking dish, and 7 in another. Cover and rest for 30 mins. Preheat oven to 350.
To make the frosting, whisk together the cream cheese, butter, milk, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar.
Bake the rolls for 25 minutes or until done. Let cool for a few minutes then pour the frosting on top. Enjoy!
